Also additions on Joe Hisaishi: Joe Hisaishi in Budokan DVD and portion of Kouhaku Uta Gasen 2009 performing his theme song.

New addition on Henry Mancini: Mancini & Friends. This is a broadcast TV Special as a tribute to Henry Mancini. Different from Mancini and Friends which had an official release. Also, Joe Hisaishi's Clannel, which appears to be a South Korean TV broadcast.

New additions. New section on Gabriel Yared, with news on Music by Gabriel Yared DVD and an upcoming new DVD by Prelight Films. Also, books from Scarecrow Press series on Film Score Guides: Bernard Herrmann's The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Erich Korngold's Adventures of Robin Hood, Danny Elfman's Batman, Ennio Morricone's The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Gabriel Yared's The English Patient. There are other books too, but I'm trying to see where to place the proper info.

The Andy Williams Show DVD with appearance of Henry Mancini, and another DVD with Burt Bacharach. Ready Steady Go Volume 3 VHS with Special Interview to Bacharach and appearance on a Chris Botti concert. For last, Ennio Morricone's concert broadcasted by Rai Uno and interview at The Screening Room TV program.

Ennio Morricone received a well-deserved Honorary Award at 79th Academy Awards with presentation by Clint Eastwood, a video collage and a song performed by Celine Dion. Also, some information on the video side of the Yo-Yo Ma Plays Ennio Morricone dualdisc.

Thanks to the help of my good friend Evgeny Romantsov, there is a new section for the composer Mikael Tariderviev. Info on some TV broadcasts, a couple of books, a link of audio programs and there is also a link to the official site of the composer.

I am removing the  Guestbook  section of the site because with the exception of about 4 "true" messages, all the rest was SPAM and every week I have been removing them. Updates on Bernard Herrmann section, with Howard Goodall program. This month and last one, TV cable channel broadcasted a series on film music from Music from the Movies, therefore I have info on their documentaries on Bernard Herrmann, Joseph Kosma, Toru Takemitsu, Georges Delerue and The Hollywood Sound.

We have a new section: Golden Age, where
we focused on several composers of that era. For starters, Miklos Rozsa and David Raksin are included here. Also, there is a book of the french director Claude Lelouch, which includes an interview to Francis Lai.

This month the great Japanese composer Akira Ifukube passed away, a huge loss for all fans of Godzilla and other fantastic Japanese movies. I am posting information about a couple of Laser Discs with Ifukube-san conducting. Making of Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla and Akira Ifukube: Self-Portrait.

Congratulations to the Maestro John Williams for winning The Golden Globes Award last night for his Best Score for "Memoirs of a Geisha". There are some screenshots, but not good quality.  Also, news on a book on Lalo Schifrin.

There is a documentary on The Music of Episode III on the DVD of the movie. Also, from now on, you can check the  Composers  page and see when each page has been updated, so you can see if you have missed something.

There has been small updates that has not been reported before, so check the composer's pages for updates. Today we have screenshots and information on Burt Bacharach in Shangri-La, Grammy Awards 1969 (Bacharach and Mancini), John Williams at Walt Disney Concert Hall and more screenshots for Indiana Jones featurette.

The site has been relocated into a new domain and so the counter has to start again. Also, there is a new section on Jerry Goldsmith. There is a new DVD out there so this is a good time to check on all the materials about him.

With the permission of  John Mansell, I have placed interviews he did to Italian Composers such as: Piero Piccioni, Piero Umiliani, Peter Boom, Nico Fidenco, Alessandro Alessandroni, Franco Micalizzi and Francesco De Masi. Therefore, there is a new section called Italian Composers for information that does not fit in the rest of the site. Similar sections will be created on composers from other countries/regions.

Two more entries in the composer's pages: Ennio Morricone and Lalo Schifrin. Also, for those situations where more than one composer appears in a documentary or TV Special, there is a page called Specials. So far, there are entries from two documentaries that I would love to see. Any information about them would be greatly appreciated. They look terrific!

The section on Burt Bacharach has all the information I have so far, although there are still many more to fill. If you have any information or screenshots of Bacharach on stage, send me a note on the email provided at the Contact section.
There is also some information on french composer Francis Lai and from Stu Phillips.

In this launching state, there is information on the composers John Barry and Henry Mancini. Some information is provided of other composers too but I will do a more extensive research on them in a next update.
