The American Music Awards from 1974, was  the first broadcast following the success of the Grammy Awards. Henry Mancini and Lynn Anderson announces the Favorite Pop Album.  The artists and songs nominated were: "Lady Sings The Blues" - Diana Ross, "Summer Breeze" - Seals & Croft and "The World is a Ghetto" - War. The winner was Diana Ross.
